Gulf Coast's Model UN team hosted their 5th annual conference, Sharkmunc V, this past weekend. With the hard-work of the upperclassmen, the team was able to have over 200 students participate over the weekend, making it the biggest model UN conference held at Gulf Coast. Special shoutout to the Naples council on World Affairs for helping us put on our completion. Check out our recap video below.

On October 11th and 12th, the Gulf Coast Model United Nations team had the opportunity to travel to Atlanta to compete at Georgia Tech’s Model United Nations 2021 High School Conference. Although this was the team’s first in-person competition since the start of the pandemic, the team was able to rise to the occasion to put on a spectacular performance during the 2-day conference. As a result, Gulf Coast was able to, yet again, win the best delegation award with the addition of nineteen individual awards earned by members of the team. What a fantastic way for the team to start the season!
